Just received this pickup for an upcoming Tele kit project from PGK. I'm estimating another 4 to 5 weeks before the kit arrives. The pickup is like the heart of the guitar, I guess.

Pure single coil, alnico 2 mags, 6.55K on the DCR. Pics for the perverts:

And hopefully, it will.

The future Tele will be a single puppy. Like an Esquire. Ash body, which will be a first for me, a maple neck, and another first: a maple fretboard! Twangy indeed... :fingersx:

That's a great combination, imho, and with the SD Antiquity it's gonna sound great.

I'm looking forward to that thread - are you thinking white or the classic 52 colours?

I have the matching neck pickup in my tele. Love them.
Also have a Warmoth Tele neck and body for sale.

Looks like you have something great going on, sysco. Good luck.

That neck might be worth more than the body. Is the body finished?

How can you tell?

The DNA: esquire, mapleness is lovely in a tele, one of the best pickups out there, ash body always looks and sounds great, and Sysco knows his stuff, so will put it together well with good hardware (I hope he goes for Gotoh parts including the classic style tuners - just love the simplicity and functionality of those).

Trust me, RVA, this is gonna be a really good tele.

&, I just looked at their website - the kits look really good; I specc'd up a lovely junior for about $800...

I had a Fishman Piezo bridge on the guitar which is why there is a route for a battery and a grouve under the bridge plate for the piezo lead.

The whole neck is birdseye maple? The guitar looks really good. Why do you want to part with this?

Yes the entire neck is birdseye maple with an ebony fret board. I am tired of it. I built it, I played it, now it is time to move on. Bought the parts back in '99

Butterscotch Blonde maple boarded teles just look "right" to me. Of course, you'll put a black guard on it, wont you? Cheers
Maybe yes... maybe no... maybe no pickguard... :hmmm:.

Wow! That guitar should be making some music. Unless
there's
something seriously wrong with it, post it at "Members Gear For Sale"... unless you already have... :confused2:
