I know this is not the correct thread to start with a "so, anyway..." but please bear with me.

So, anyway: I was just starting fiddlin' around with my Hondo II TP...

giving it a little once over, prepping it for the big overhaul when I... had to check the neck pocket wall just because it seemed a little flimsy. And true enough, it was...

The wall just COLLAPSED at the slightest touch... :poo:! :poo:! :poo:!

into four pieces...

So now I endedup with an ample "open concept" bridge pup cavity with a beautiful view to the neck pocket... :pound-hand: Gotta laugh about it, otherwise I'll just cry...

Once secured back in place, the neck looks and feels firm enough, though... Hopefully.

And now I gotta think about what to do next. Either try to put it back together or plain ignore it and continue the overhaul as-is. Suggestions are welcome. Whacks upside the head? As long as they're figurative and not literal, thank you very much...

That "wall" is not structural. It won't affect the rigidity of the guitar.

If it makes ya feel better, you could sand the broken edges smooth to make it look like the neck pocket was supposed to be open to the pickup cavity.

”Yeah, Hondo only made one of these…yeah…that’s the ticket!”

I wouldn't worry about it if it was mine. Like Smitty said, the pickup ring will hide it. You should see some of the mistakes I have hidden under stuff, lol!
Thank you, Steve! My main concern was that it would somehow affect performance. But if it's just a "look" problem, and even then not so much as it seems, I'm good to go with it. Even if it shows... It'll only give the Lady some character :D

And then put it up for auction as such!! Judging by that MIK acoustic guitar that some guy wanted to buy as if it was a museum piece, it could get to be a thing... :pound-hand::pound-hand:
