I felt this needed a dedicated thread.

I received an E-drum amp the other day from Sweetwater and without going into it, it didn’t work.

I called them up yesterday at around 2:00pm. Was on the line for about a half hour and while that might sound like a long time. It wasn’t. I spoke to my sales rep, the tech dept. and before you know it, they processed my return and told me they would expedite a new one.

The new amp arrived FedEx overnight priority today.
That probably cost them as much as the amp was worth.
Between being able to buy what you want with an interest free payment plan, you get customer service which will go beyond what you would expect.

And of course, you get a bag of candy with every order! Diabetes here I come!

This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with their customer service, it’s always good. Just this time they really went out of their way.

I haven't purchased from them for a long time, I've spent some dough with them... but agree they were very good... finally my sweetwater rep gave up on calling me LOL
 
Good to hear your story. I am very fortunate to have a shop where I live that is the largest in Southwestern Ontario, I buy everything from them , unless they can't get it , because they aren't a Dealer for a product etc. They give great service! not just me saying, but many. I can see those who live in rural areas that buy online, makes sense. For me I will not buy online guitars or amps that are big ticket items, thats a no no for me. If you have a problem a good shop will take care of you. They will make sure the customer is satisfied. I like to support my local shop and will continue to do so, they take care of me and are always there to help.

I have had nothing but VERY positive experiences with Sweetwater. Whether there was an issue with the product, or I just didn't like it. Returns have always been fast and easy.

Many times, my rep has waived the return shipping fee and ate it. I will say I've spent over $20K there over the years. Maybe more, but I won't admit it...

Also, if they forget your little bag of candy call and complain. They will send you a nice Sweetwater glass candy jar full of your favorites!

My rep told this little tidbit and I have three jars to show for the packer's forgetfulness!

They realize that happiness is a big part of the equation.
That's why it's different.
They created business to fulfill people's dreams, and on a massive scale.
 
Pretty much anything new has come from them. Only big ticket item has been the blue Strat. A few pedals and a Boss GT1. Ordered some stuff last Sunday. I had it Monday. I didn’t even think that was possible.

I think they might be back-charging the manufacturer for the screw up in terms of warrantee service.
But they realize that your future business is most important. They know one bad experience is detrimental to future purchases.
They would rather lose money on one purchase, opposed to losing all future purchases. They value you as a customer.
 
Cant say as I have ever had an issue with a sweetwater purchase.........and my "gear guy" even emails or calls a couple times a year to see "how its going" ...................... now musicians friend on the other hand ....

My inside guy texts or calls about ever other month. We talked recording stuff last call 2 weeks ago.
