They look original and low wear to me. Every late-70s Custom I’ve owned, including the ‘79 I currently have, has had the same low/wide frets.

Dude, if I still lived in MD there’s a good chance I’d be driving up to look at that. It’s a finish I would really like and that thing is super clean and unmolested.

Gball, I am not saying there are not Gib guitars that are 4k guitars. But, this one and any other at that price is just 3k too expensive for my wallet, Heck, my knees tremble anywhere over $500 and when it passes $999-$1200 I just about max out. Hence why I play an Epi LP Std with T Tops instead of that sweet Les Paul Classic Custom I liked at GC back in the baked maple days that was about $1650-$1850 instead.
For perspective, my daily driver F150 cost me $1 and the last car I bought before that was $200. The taxes and insurance usually cost more than my rides do. Ask my fiancee too, whenever I used to take her to my local Walmart and I would grocery shop, Anytime my items in the cart got near or over $25-$30 by my math, I started putting back the least desirable or needed food.

My Custom shop Bengal Burst was like 5500 CDN i think. Maybe 6. But worth it to me.

It's factory. They used a can over the switch too. You can still buy them, but I think copper tape is better, if you shield the back of the cover plates.
