SURVIVED!!!!

My HEAVY winter coat back in Ohio was a grey zip up hoodie with a Levi jacket over it. I wore this in the worst of the winter. Even during the Blizzard of 1978 when temps were below zero...

Now I have to wear thermal underwear if it's below 45...:pound-hand::pound-hand:

Our Blizzard happened in '79 Chris. Was yours a different one? I will have to check historical weather stuff.

SP8, I'm pretty sure Ohio got a different one in '78 that hit up there it seems. Then in Md we got it in '79. I still remember being out of milk, trudging about 3 miles round trip to buy and carry milk home. The roads had 7-8 foot drifts in some spots because of all the fierce winds.

Sounds like me. Hoody and leather jacket. Now. Go use the snow blower. I do put on some non insulated coveralls with the hoody and winter coat. But more to keep snow off my jeans so I don’t have to change clothes when I’m done. Single digits and wind blowing. I’ll still work up a sweat clearing the drive.

Definitely 1978. Follow the link for details. We were out of school for at least 3 weeks. They say it was the worst storm to ever occur in Ohio.

This photo taken in Western Illinois. Winter of 78/79. At the time, I was the truck driver for the CaseIH tractor dealership. I drove country roads that looked like this. Snow drifts as deep/tall as the truck I drove. We live in NE Illinois now and the locals here still comment on that blizzard.

290 Kelvin here, in this retched coastal community.
Even the fruit bats are hiding during these most recent torturous climatic conditions...
There is no escape, from what I have gathered.
