Tried this 15 watt tube amp with 12 inch speaker. The price $899 CDN. I have to tell you I liked my Orange 35RT SS better. Liked the tones and overall volume in the Orange at $357 CDN. I was not impressed with Supro. My Orange has a 10 inch speaker.

Yeah, you know I checked out some of the Supros when they were first reissued and wasn't very impressed, with either the sound or build quality. Seems a lot of people like them but they didn't magically transform your tone into Led Zeppelin 1.

Jimmy May have played Supro amps in the beginning, but in 2007 he had that AD30
a the 02 concert. He knows a good sounding amp when he hears one.

And he sounded glorious...I do wonder when he was switching between the AD/OR, Petersburg and Marshalls in that performance.

S5 I actually looked at a couple ORANGE amps the other day ----a little 12 watt combo---and a Micro Terror (they are just SOO CUTE) but ....then --- I didnt.....

stupid little things sound great-----

but --- Id never use it

Supro has a very clean sound because the preamp stage is limited much like a Fender Champ.
It would work OK with pedals because it's clean. But it is not anything that would overdrive or distort all by itself from guitar.

Adrian those amps sound good to my ear, even though they are small. This mini the girl shows here sounds great, I played through one at a friends campfire he just bought it the same day. And as you will see the girl doing the review here plays through the 35RT which I have , its a great amp and still have not found anything that sounds a s good as this in its class for the price.

Amp Mad and whomever else.

I know this is off topic somewhat in that we are talking Supro, but I always liked the sound of 59 Bassman amps with the 4 10's.
Not sure about the various era's of Bassman heads, but since you mention Supro as being clean with a limited Preamp stage, how does the Bassman compare? I almost got a 59 LTD reissue years ago, but held off. Instead I wound up with a Red Knob The Twin and only had my bucket list checked for finding one of the real deal vintage Bassman combo or heads.

I had a 35RT (I sorta should not have let it go-----) --- and a Micro Terror---(will likely score another in a cheapo bin or trade deal someplace) and a 6 watt battery Orange thingy ....and .......and..........oh poo Im gonna play my Marshall -- that will cure the gas..... :)

I likes Da Orange very good stuff--

This is what I am am ta;king about and my ears tell me why.

Can't get any more authentic than this sound? Was the Strat (I presume) vintage also?

Stratstrangler

In his first video I posted, he says "I'm using my 1964 Black Strat on this tuned down to D. "

The Bassman is what was copied to make the first Marshall.
