Suddenly I’m Danish!

I just realized the flag under my avatar had changed from the Norwegian one to the Danish flag. I have not changed nationalities, but I’m on holiday in Copenhagen. We’ve rented a really nice house together with my wife’s sister’s family. We have a pool, an awesome garden with a trampoline, we can play basketball here, and it’s really close to the city center. It is damn perfect here, apart from the fact I won’t have a guitar for more than two weeks...

I used to go to ICANN meetings all over the world. They had their own block of IP addresses. They govern the Internet, or at least the names and numbers on the Internet. When I would first get to the meeting the location services on my computer would think I was wherever the last meeting was if I used the ICANN wireless. I could be in Costa Rica and the Internet would think I was in Brussels. As routing tables got updated around the world most web sites would gradually know where I actually was.

I believe the flag is based on your actual location -- not your country of origin---- so --- behave because TTR KNOWS where you ARE !!!!!

So, the next time I'm in Europe, my flag will change?

England in October for Saxon, Girlschool, and Krokus.

Germany in November for Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.

I'll have two new temporary flags for a while.

When I am on 4G, the flag changes back to the Norwegian one. Damn internetses, I’m getting royally confused as to where and who I am!
