Stupid Deal Of The Day.......Firebird Content.

Damn I almost did it, till I read it was a set neck and NOT a neck thru.
It's still a hell of a deal though.

If I get a Firebird It will be a neck thru with mini humbuckers.

Where did you read set neck? The 2018 one I saw specs on says neck thru

The studios are unfortunately set necks. Only unfortunate because they don't quite sound or sustain like the neck-throughs, so if that classic 'bird vibe is what you want they won't bring it (plus they have 'buckers) but they have their own thing going that is pretty awesome, and might just work better for some people.

Wow, that is pretty stupid. Good thing I'm a lefty, or I would be trying to find space to hang another guitar.

Well I'm glad that I'm not a Firebird fan! I have no extra cash to buy one and no room in my cracker box condo to store one. However that is indeed a great price! If this was a great deal on a SG, I would be heart broken :(

I like the fireburst they have up now better than the pelham blue earlier.
I dig the blue color, but burst on the bird is the bomb.

I like that enough to say, if I was in the habit of buying $700 guitars, one would be flying my way directly.

I would snagged the P90 burst but the current gold mist w/ buckers --- Ill pass......I have too many "bucker" guitars as is. ;)

For sure. I have three Firebirds, two neckthrough reverse and one set beck non-reverse. In some ways they’ve become my favorite guitars. I keep thinking I am gonna sell the NR, but then I plug it into an amp and wonder what I been smoking...knowing myself it probably isn’t going anywhere (unless I find a straight-up trade for a Les Paul)

Well, last I checked the ‘bird is worth about $1500.00. It sounds and plays too good for me to be highly motivated to sell it, so I’d wait for a trade to come along. For its value, a recent (Gibson) Les Paul Studio or older Traditional would be about right. Or some other less common model I am not thinking of.
