Strings with silk winding

Which strings still have the silk windings at each end. Rotosound Swing Bass 66 Nickels are supposed to still have them, but I assume going to Guitar Center is like buying sub par tools at Home Depot.

Which sets still have them, even if I have to go mail order? I want to make sure that I put the tailpiece of my Thunderbird in the correct location.

That’s what I bought. No silk. Why my assumption that guitar center is just as bad as home despot and Amazon for making manufacturers dumb down their products to fit their price guidelines.

I have the sweetwater LEs Paul Sig ones on my les paul recording guitar........I mean what else would one USE on that???

good luck --- most use nylon now they call it SILK but its not -- like womens stockings --- gotta really search and FEEL around to find the silk ones........
