Strings for 22" scale electric: Special gauge?

A Jaguar has a 22" scale. I keep 12s on my Jaguar--but I'm the kind of guy to play 10s on a Tele and 11s on a Les Paul. If it's for a kid who's been playing for less than 3 years, I'd use 10s.

Actually the scale on a Jaguar is 24”. I use .011’s on both of my Jags. I have a 63 and a 68 which I use a lot.

A Duosonic is a 22” scale

On a 22” scale I would use .011’s since it has a plain G.

Another maybe better option on a 22” scale is to put .009’s and tune it up a third higher than normal like a terz, but this setup might not be the best for a kid starting out, which is why I would probably go with .011’s and tune it standard.
