String Butler?

Interesting. Are you going to try one, and be the guinea pig for us?

Adds straight string pull behind the nut.
But adds extra friction points.
Come in black and chrome, too.
If the nut slots have originally been compensated for slot to post angle, then a new nut will need to be installed.

Curious thing, but I'm not sure it's needed...???

I had something similar on my ‘74 SG back in the ‘80s.

It replaced the truss rod cover, but attempted to accomplish the same thing as this.

I took it off though, as I noticed no improvement in pretty much anything.

Funny, my SG and my Doubleneck give me zero tuning problems...
It’s funny, but from watching the video I kinda got the impression that he didn’t really like it even though he said he did.

My main source of tuning issues with my SG is the G string, but it’s not that big a problem. I’m yet to have anyone come up to me after a gig and say “you guys were great, but you gotta do something about that G string!”

Well I have, but they weren’t referring to my guitar tuning at the time :rolf::facepalm:

My collection of suicide notes I have a whole section on tuning problems. Razor blades to out on the ledge. I don't think the string butler would have made my teenage years any better. I was smart but crazy kid and would have seen right through that as a communication break down.
