Placement....the photos I found are literally all over the place...

Placement....the photos I found are literally all over the place...

That's because the placement of string trees is/was literally all over the place throughout Fender's history. Just put them where you think they look best and call it a day.

I have 4 strats that have only 1 tree and they are all in about the same place. I had a American Standard and a Squire that both had 2 and I have 4 that have no trees.

I have a bad habit of knocking the high 'e' out of the nut on the upstroke. Gotta have trees!!!

Trees are a must on my Strats and Tele. Keeps tension on the nut.
