Man i am so sorry this happened but i understand lol...my wife has a 2014 Dodge Journey and it too has that ultra 
ty key fob. I HATE this car for not having a standard ignition system where you would at least INSERT the key fob like a mock key ( like the Ram trucks do). You press the brake and push start as long as the key fob is within about 3ft of the vehicle. Brilliant.....all that is, is something doomed to fail when you need it most....like today for you lol

When I was working at one of the Harley shops a guy left service with his fob on the brake lever. He called 30 miles away when he couldn't restart his bike at the gas station. I found the fob in the parking lot and drove it to him. I'm glad bicycles don't have security systems.
