Unconventional design, to be sure.

But, they have some very innovative engineering and excellent workmanship.

Very cool looking. I like the Boden Prog NX6 in Earth Green.

Yeah, I think the Strandbergs have finally made a good looking headless guitar. The Steinbergs of the '80s looked too minimalistic and the tiny body seemed like it didn't offer enough support for the forearm. Other guitars used nearly a full-size body, but with no headstock, giving the guitar an incomplete, awkward appearance.

I've seen one of these played live, and they look pretty decent.

I like that they gave you hints of other guitars in their designs. Like the Salen Classic which gives you a strong Tele vibe to it, or Boden Classic for more of a Strat vibe.

I got the Mayones Hydra a few years ago the stages are getting smaller got tired hitting my head stock on cymbals
and it's a 7 string and a master grade at 1/2 price at that time I gave a low ball offer and they went for it
it stays in tune never broke a string sounds great plays well stainless steel frets ABM bridge ebony finger board.
I'm shocked the 40th anniversary Hydra guitars are $10,000.00 USD

Yes, that is intentional.

I already have enough guitars and am more or less not in the market for another, but a Strandberg would definitely be one I'd consider if I was in the market.

Very nice, Plexi!

Can you give a quick shot of the "headstock" area? Does it use a zero fret, like the Strandberg?

I just can't get used to headless neck, I just think they are plain ugly..

I do understand.

But, when you stop and think about it, at some point in their lives, many Gibson guitars decide they want to be headless guitars, too!

Here's somebody who decided to grant his beloved SG it's lifelong dream:
