Tone Turtles will be fine -- Ive painted LITERALLY dozens of guitars-- none suffered ill tonal anomalies from the added surface volume of paint---

Prep with Prep-Sol and worn #400 wet-or-dry automotive paper:



First coat of #286524 Rustoleum Metallic Warm Gold (wood or metal rated aerosol enamel)



Second coat for even coverage applied after 10 minutes.

Mist coat to even out the metallic particles applied 5 minutes later

After 10 minutes, two full, wet coats of Krylon #1323 Satin Enamel Clear

Yes. It sure does. I like this Gold color better than the more 'yellow' hue my 2016 Gibson Goldtop had. This is more of an antique or Aztec gold...

Also, I can guarantee to you this 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute was not Plekked at the factory. The fret heights were all over the place, including surface profile deformation from hammer blows across the face of the frets.

These economy model Gibson's really seem to just get the bare minimum of work....

Looks really good. Inserts and pup cavities look real clean, too. The polishing of the frets is spectacular. Did you spray the whole body with the satin clear enamel?
