I really hope this supply chain disaster ends soon. I have been waiting for my King V to come in for months now. My wife wants to get it for me as an X-mas gift ... looks like I'm going to get a box with a picture of it inside. If anyone hears or sees one let me know. Its a Pro Series King V KVT triple tone sunburst with gold hardware. I am on a waiting list with the major vendors, but they really dont know when it will be in.
 
I wish you well, but i wouldn't hold my breath. The word is the same here in Canada as far as the Vendors, They can not give a time when you will receive your guitar, and they can't guarantee a price either. My local shop had a guy who ordered guitar in Feb., then they contacted the shop said it would be April, then they contacted the store again and said it would be November, The store Owner was the one who gave me the info. The one person got tired of waiting and cancelled the order, he purchased a different guitar from the store instead.
 
At long last I found one!
I am really resisting the urge to buy it right now. I told my wife I would not buy more gear this year. Or did I word it, I wont buy "too much" gear.
and realistically, is a guitar really considered gear?
Isnt it just an extension of your musical ability? Therefore being a part of you? Like a musical prosthetic!

If I buy this guitar, I think my wife will leave me ....
Well, I'd sure hate to pack all her things, because she's got so much stuff!

Easy choice, V all day. V dose not talk back and dose it exactly what you want. You cant argue with that!

I hatched a plan.

{cue the Mission Impossible theme}

I will take my DK2 put it in its case and hide it in the closet.
Buy the V.
Then tell her I traded the Dinky in for another guitar as an even swap.
I wait a few months then take the Dinky back out. If she questions why the Dinky is still here, I will disavow any knowledge of the conversation.

It’s risky, but it should work.

This message will self destruct faster than this hair brained plan.
