Okay...allow me to revisit this...just to be sure we understand one another...
Suppose I was to take a certain guitar...
Let’s say, just for the sake of discussion, that this guitar was made by a certain guitar company.
For no particular reason, we’ll call that company, “Jackson.”
Now, suppose I was to plug that guitar into your Mesa...again, just for the sake of discussion.
What is your opinion, on a scale of 1 to 10 (with “1” being the least likely and “10” being the most likely) that I could get loud noises?

LONG story-- get comfortable---
A VERY close friend and ex coworker of mine lives in NJ now--- and his company is in the same warehouse as the MISFITS practice dungeon ---they " hang out" -- he was at Doyles house for Thanksgiving-- and Jerry Only's for 4th of July---HE calls me and holds the phone up to the joining wall when the band is practicing....riot!
MANY years ago I sold him that Squire Jazz bass-- he never "took to it" -- so as a thank you for me helping him get OUT of Mobile -- and into the VERY COOL life he has NOW -- he had the bass signed and sent back to me as a surprise -- (I was surprised) and I knew my friend was a big Beatles fan -- so-- our own Drumoid had this (in parts literally MANY parts)
green HOFNER style bass...... was missing the bridge and pups--- it needed help-- and love----- so -- I (without the friend knowing) rebuilt it -- and sent iot to HIM as a Surprise!
Well here is the bass.....and a REAL MISFIT giving it the "shakdown tes" and proclaining it GOOD!

exact answer is simple HACK and I were just discussing this-- and other international political and financial woes at lunch last week --
ANd I think any MEsa owner here (of which there are many) will agree----
IF you look at the wall of amplification above -- I can tell you this CERTAIN guitars sound better with certain amps--- just the way it is-- (we have all experienced this I think)
EVERY guitar I plug into the MESA -- sounds EXCELLENT and as good OR BETTER than it does through the other amps-
