Been trying to learn how to use Garageband. This is my first attempt. It's pretty rough and singing is obviously not my strong point.

Rhythm guitar is a Fender Stratocaster with the Garageband Brit clean amp.

Lead guitar is an Epiphone SG P90 Custom Special with the GarageBand Punk Rock amp.

Organ is the GarageBand Hammond B3 jazz setting played with the computer keyboard.

Singing was recorded with the built in MacBook Air mic.

Very cool. I am lost on Garageband, only have an iphone to play with.
So, this is 2 guitar tracks and a vocal track?

I want to get started recording, not that I have anything worth recording at this point.
What are you using and how are interfacing the inputs?
I have only an iRig to plug guitar into iphone, but the headphone out doesnt work.
I will give it another try realizing I can only hear my guitar unplugged while recording.

I am leaning towards eventually getting a Focusrite an mic.
BGood coached me on a bit of the basics a while back.
I have also used Audacity in the past for cleaning up vocal tracks for pre-recorded voice messages for fire alarm systems.

im not familiar with that song but sounds good
Thanks.

It's an old English folk song that has been covered by Louis Armstrong, Bobby Blue Bland, Joe Cocker, the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton and more. I think even the Stones have done it live.

I use a MacBook Air with an Apogee Jam interface for the guitar. I use headphones so I can hear it. So far I can't figure out how to add a drum track. I tried using my phone and the iPad but the laptop is way easier because there is more on the screen.
