Spark amps: Anybody tried one?

this thing sounds like something I'd have a lot of fun with.
I've gone to the site and nearly clicked the buy now button,
and then I've thought, "But I might be doomed..."

and then I click off. *shrugs
I've seen a few "should I buy this guitar" posts
on other fora, and I often think "but you might be doomed..."

I NEVER say this. Who needs it, eh. We've all got enough
to worry about.

Stay strong me droogies... stay healthy if you can, wash your grubby paws
and don't get on the subway and sneeze... people might chuck you from the train.
Wipe down all touch points, and stay home and practice hard . People might
need music after the Deluge.

Ill say this -- you cant buy ALL the effects it offers--- for the 225.00 price.............

seems "similar" the Marshall COdes offerings (,maybe spark supplied the software??) but in a smaller --- possibly better sounding package---
Like a BOSE sound doc and MArshall CODE had a baby

well and so... lotsa hype.

I'm sure I could have a lot of fun with this. I'd love it if this puppy had a
speaker out... so you could set it on top of a good cab and crank it.
(my amp guy back in Michigan could install one for me... I could
certainly find somebody here in Tucson).
But that's a pipe dream. I sold my house where my nearest neighbor was
125 meters away. I live in an apartment... a small and affordable one.
I'm retired from touring now, and a full time care giver guy with no nursing
license. But I work cheap.

No more big speaker boxes. No more midnight distortiion.
One of the things that appeals to me about this amp is the
small size. Because I had to foster some of my guitars that I
couldn't bear to sell. I don't have room for all my children.

AND I don't have room for all my amps. I fostered a couple of
those, including my beloved Orange Micro Terror and the hand
finished speaker cabs that I made for it. I decided to keep one
guitar amp, my Vox VT-30 and my trusty Roland CB-60XT
bass amp.

I haven't even plugged them in, in at least nine months.
I've had a lot on my plate. But these days...

This is where I play sometimes. Now that we're all under "shelter in place' orders
Everybody is here, with their kids and all, and everybody is slowly going crazy.
So if I come out and play, people sometimes come out and listen.
This apartment complex is like a castle, all the apartments face inwards to
the central courtyard.

I imagine myself with this little amp box, on this
little porch, playing to a captive audience. Maybe somebody comes out with
another guitar, somebody else comes out with a djembe... People begin tapping
rhythms on their railings... girls begin to dance...
Aye well... it's a better dream than others I've been having.

If it wasn't for the possibility of being DOOMED, I might already own
this little powerhouse, and be getting acquainted with it.

IMHO the code (both of them I had) blew itself outta the water (had being operative word here) --- neither worked "seamlessly" with the cell interface-- and one didnt work AT ALL with the cell phone -- and I wasnt BUYING a damn iPad just to USE my amp--- so it went back---

Conversely the Fender Fuse system has always worked flawlessly for me----I need another Fender--Im presently surrounded by no Fender amps---- :(

Col. if we are ALL DOOMED you might as well buy the thing and play some great music as Rome Burns----none of us gets out alive ........
