Spare Parts Project - Mini Half Stack - DONE

Made some progress today on the little scrap pile project.
Started with adding some cleats to mount a back panel on the head.
Going to convert the power cord to an IEC plug for a removable standard cord, and put in a speaker jack.

Not enough tolex for the new face frame, so I cut back from the corners on an angle to the handle holes.
Got a patch from the tolex from the old MG combo.

Pic of everything with a coat of cement before the tolex wrap.

New cab top spliced in.

With the head on it, no one will even see it.

Cut down a pack panel for the head and mounted the IEC plug and a speaker jack.

Decided to just put a combo lead from the speaker for a semi-open back.
I have more of the old MG back panel if I want to close the cab and add a jack.

I might get more use out of this little amp than I was originally thinking.
It makes a great side table for the one-way time machine recliner... :rolf:

I notice that the head shell is (looking to be) sealed up pretty tight. Could that present a cooling problem?

I hadn't thought about that.
I suppose I could drill a few vent holes, but I wonder how much heat it would actually give off.
Also, it might not see a lot of prolonged use living just feet away from my JCM800 stack...
