Heard a strange, somewhat "jangling" quality while listen to a recently recorded track. Traced the noise to collapsed E, A & D bridge springs on my Fender Stratocaster. Note the first 3 springs up from the bottom of the bridge are not even touching. The 30 year old springs finally gave out...

I'll have to keep that in mind Robert. Amazing how something like that carries thru at times. Many moons ago I started getting a ringing coming from my tube amp. Couldn't track it down. Turned out not to be the amp. Of all things the tremolo springs for my Kahler Spyder trem where the issue and ringing thru the high gain amp. A piece of paper in the trem cavity solved it. Could have put sleeves on the springs, but the paper was easy, quick, and worked with no side affects.

Amazing!

Sometimes its the smallest things that cause the most trouble...
