The Sparrow Hawk looks a bit like the Non-Reverse Firebird and Thunderbird that I'm building a copy of. Is that a set neck model, or neck-through?

Set-thru neck is what I read.
It's a signature model, Bill Kelliher of Mastodon.

I think I might be more into LTD's Phoenix model a little better than the Sparrow hawk...

I love the look of the LTD firebird type guitars...never liked the idea of a single pickup. Then again, if i was in a band I could definitely see myself on a single pickup V as I have my role and im filling out a tone that needs to be there, and the brighter sounds cut through. That and the simplicity, makes it pretty easy to narrow down what's wrong when you only have a single pickup and a single volume knob. but as it is, i use both pickups equally.
