Hey guys. 2 Cherry /Mahogany builds ,same woods, constriction and fret boards.IMG_20170115_211145.jpg IMG_20170115_211243.jpgBoth have Cocobolo boards and stainless steel frets medium. The tops are Mahogany with a flame Maple center seam ,as are the 3 PC's necks.
The body's are 2 PC's cherry. I have an acoustic with a cherry neck and the tone is very full, warm with strong mids and thick highs, so I figured why not try a Electric body or two.

I got a lot of carving done on one tonight. Thanks ibex finger plane. My thumb is sore. But I do find carving by hand very relaxing.
Both guitars will have the tenon all the way to the back of the neck pickup cavity. And they follow the taper of the fretboard.

Looking good! Are those boards hard like an Ebony?
..Yes well not as hard as ebony but in between ebony and rosewood. It's actually from the rosewood family.
It holds ALOT of oil.
Had to wipe down with denatured alcohol before gluing and also had to re glue binding.

Lust for Tone Skydawg and 57'
I might change out the 57' for the 59'lustbucker. They are worth every penny and I am glad I went with LFT.
So far.... Very positive feed back so far. Cherry is not all that different in tone as other popular tone woods. Very similar to Mahogany.

Beautiful and classic instruments. Please feel free to post them in the Vendor sale section if you intend on selling them.
