She has been PVRing a PBS show about finding your roots with various celebrities. This week was Sammy Hagar.
I got text from her.

Mom: Is Sammy Hagar a singer?? Name is familiar...and he is on roots show I PVRd last night....haven't seen it yet.

Me: Yup. Had many solo albums n sang for Van Halen.

Mom: I thought he must have been with Van Halen...Was he after... the blonde guy...Roth? Or before?? I know, David Lee Roth just came into my head, Tho I could see his face. I could be on Jeopardy with the right subject!!

Me : Well done!!

Mom: I learned stuff following my kids interests...

Probably right in the middle. It was their big hit from the album before Desolation Boulevard was released. I first saw it on Rockpalast when I was ten years old, and became a big Sweet fan. Rockpalast was also my introduction to Uriah Heep and many other bands.

Sweet was super good a few years ago at that annual rock fest we have here. Just super good entertainment.

Your Mom is awesome!

I was impressed my Mom knew who Eddie was, turns out she loves Valerie on the cooking shows and learned who Eddie was from that.
