I was doing some recording at a studio, where they had one that was owned by Michael Pinder of the Moody Blues. They just had it serviced, and it had new tapes. I asked a friend who is a great keyboardist, bassist, and drummer if he wanted to do some over dubs.
Of course, he said “YESSSS!!!!”
When we were done, I tried paying him. He said being able to play “that” Mellotron was worth more than payment. I love the sounds they make.
