Some killer Audioslave

Wow Chris Cornell sounds a bit off ?

I hear things like that too, but then get reminded of when a buddy told me of his reaction to seeing Soundgarden and said I would be disappointed if I thought Cornell would sound like he does on the records.

Speaking of which, sometimes I get a disbelief or shock at the way Chris died, and from what we learn of his mental state, then read and listen to his lyrics and the parallels.

For Example, Fell On Dark Days. Woah.

Incidentally, I have always felt as if Matt Cameron's did his best drumming with Audioslave, not my favorite drummer as far as Pearl Jam goes.
Then again, I liked Dave Krusen, Jack Irons, and Abruzzese even though Cameron lasted the longest.

Kim Thayall is still one of my favorite guitar players too. Soundgarden was definitely my jam as I began to learn drums and then rekindle playing guitar again after giving up on ever getting good at it when I sold my first guitar back in 1991. 10 Years later put me on a path of hope thanks to the likes of the above guys.

As much as I love Soundgarden and even liked some Rage Against the Machine songs ( but not some of the political views) I really dug Audioslave.
With this appreciation came a deep hole in me and a bittersweet feeling comes when I think about Cornell dying.

Scott Weiland, Hillel Slovak, Lane Staley, Steve Clark, Frusciante, and others too numerous to mention who struggled with mental/addictions and or were victims of tragic endings,.Randy Rhoads, Dimebag, Vinnie Paul, Terry Kath, Hendrix, Lowell George, really affect me. I truly thank every one of them for the ways their music and their lives enriched mine.
