Some gig pics...

The guitar was already stripped when I bought it.
It's a good piece of mahogany and is incredibly resonant.

The one on the left is a special. The serial # tells me '72.
I got it at a garage sale for 150 because nothing worked
on it and it was completely corroded but the neck was right.
I put 240 into it to get it up and running again and have
played more gigs with it than any other guitar I have owned.
It has one of Larry's PAFs from 1977 in the bridge and one of
his Humbuckers from Hell in the neck now and is very versatile.

The one on the right is a completely stock '61 RI.

NOW U r Killing me, A DR103 huh. WOAH

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love ES's and was always too poor to own one.
Then was Marshall and Fender Amps,,,,,,, as well as Hiwatts.

Was it the pic angle/different stands or is the modern guitar slightly shorter/smaller than the vintage ones?

I just pulled out the 3 guitars. The middle stand is slightly higher and the
narrowness of the SG special headstock combined with the picture angle
make it look longer. It also has a bigger neck heel that the other 2 but the
instruments measure up within 1/4 inch of each other all the way around.

I have always wanted and never had a 345.
Who says no one uses them?

Jorma Kaukonen
Joe MacDonald
Elvin Bishop.
