I really like how it feels and how it plays. What I don't like is the P-90's. I have never liked P-90's but I have owned three guitars with them over the years just trying to figure out why everyone loves them so much. So, to make this guitar usable for me, again because I really like the feel of the neck, I am planning to drop some P-90 sized humbuckers into it.

So here's the question: At present I do not own a guitar with a wang bar on it. Since I am already planning to soil this thing with some 'buckers, I am also thinking of putting on an ABR bridge (using conversion posts) and a Bigsby B-5,so I would have at least one guitar with a wiggle-stick.

Whaddya all think?

Feel ya ,always dump my p90's for some reason but keeping the Junior as i learned it better .But it would not stay around if i wasn't using Strats. The p90 is excellent when the rig is set up for Strats vs my Gibsons. Also i dig 90's with fuzz-they kinda slice but in a very nice nasty way

I would probably go invader or dirty fingers bridge & keep the p 90 neck

I've also tried, and never bonded with P90's.
Did the P90 to mini-hum conversion on my home build Tele deluxe - and replaced the dog ear in my Jr. with a min-hummer.

I think that'd look bad ass.
Got a B-5 on my SG with a no-drill adapter.

This had a P90 also when i bought it new.Its in the drawer. To much 60 cycle huh.Although the new JJN Pelam Blue Lester has some sort of special design P90. Duncan of course. A the Silencer P90 or something like this. Any how i got the router out. Of course you should put Buckers in that thing. Great lookin guitar.Screenshot_20240215-141939_Gallery.jpg

Well…my 2 cents….

Minor surgery…completely reversible…love mine. The one that I have setup to float is on a P90 SG. It’s an absolute joy to play with, and is super stable with tuning.

As for the pickups….P90 sized humbuckers, or maybe some mini-humbuckers….f you really can’t get on with anything “P90” out there.

I tried one of those at the GC, love that neck :dood:

I think Humbuckers would be the way to go in that guitar, I am a P90 fan myself the reason being my Godin Core CT has Seymour Duncans made to Godin specs. They are a different beast compared to the Gibson P90s which I am not a fan of.

Nice looking axe Gary! I am sure Humbuckers would work very well for you..

I love my P-90'S guitars, they have a bright attack and strong bite but you must be an aggressive
player'cause they can pick up the most tiny mistake you make.
