I remember the righteous indignation surrounding the wonder of the "emulator"...
How producers, who had envisioned a drastic reduction in production costs, stared blankly at the musicians as they packed up their instruments, refusing to allow their performances to be "sampled." The money people didn't expect the reaction they received.
Music stirs the inner beast regardless of genre. A.I. has no inner beast. It cannot feel. So it can't play with passion. The human heart isn't willing to accept substitutes.
A.I. has no soul. And ultimately soul is what the human wants to listen to...and be a part of. I recall rather fondly my experiences performing. Among those experiences rests the engagement with the audience. Full symphony to a jazz duo...both performers and audience want to feel the magic.
The money people will be very disappointed.,.
Again.
