So...Out of ALL the Guitar Gods...

Tony, my first friend to ever die, did so with what we believe he thought was an unloaded gun at 17 years old.

I sure was heart broken at losing one of my dearest buds and neighbor I met a mere 6 years before when we were 11 and 12.

LOL Tony, I only added the Sesame street comment because "IF I LOOK AT Mary Ann, I might forget ALL about the Coke, Chips Ahoy, and Chevy's." As I am a Mere Mortal Man with a limited train of thought.

I like Clapton's early days and I like his later blues days. I was a huge Beck, Clapton, and Page (yardbirds) fan when I was younger (still am actually).

Speaking of God-ish players. I really know very little if any Vai so when I was just enjoying the AM jams to 70's and 90's tune vids, my youtube had this one clip in the list I thought was going to be one of those HOOK u and get you to infomercial/hey look at my twerking "made ya look" type videos but I got a real surprise. Half also expecting the guy to pull Steve Vai out of a Hat, I got neither. Then because of what this guy was asked to do, I pulled up the real Vai Version of this 1/2 way thru this guy's prepping. Watched Steve then returned back. I must say I enjoyed the surprise(s)

Steve

The " HOOK" video HAHA " I have a Request"

Pause,,,,,,,,,, I made a mistaken comment, putting something here to buy time to revise.

OK I found it in my brain. My girlfriend and I were driving my OCD/Bi Polar/blind friend somewhere earlier in the year and if I am not mistaken he was messing with his I-Phone as he almost always does 24/7 and I think he was playing a song by The Pretty Reckless and he suddenly Blurts out, "I'd give my left nut to be able to sing like her"

Needless to say, my gf and I look at each other and say " Only P"

Now just the other day, she texts me while out in California.
I open it up and it says.

"If a man loses his left nut and only has his right nut, is it still is right nut?"

The speed guys like Malmsteen just never appealed to me.
Carlos Santana is ok but never lit my fire.
Hendrix, a lot of stuff doesnt but some Really does.

I have to give Bonamassa a bit more listening.
A lot of the post Derek and the Dominos Clapton leaves me uninspired, though there are some things I like.

Its not the same as the Mayall through Derek.
That period including things like While My Guitar Gently Weeps really tick my boxes.

A lot of all those guys, like Jeff Beck, Hendrix, etc. I like at least some of their stuff a LOT and others not as much, and I dont know their entire volume of work.

They ALL SUCK! Ain't none of em worth diddly squat!
All a big pack of overpaid yaahoos !

There, that oughta stir the stink pot! Ha!:poo::popcorn:

See if you remember this one, Chili: Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie, and Chevrolet!

Sure, thing, Goldie. I remember a zillion useless things.

One of my favorite car type commercials came later from a silly kind of goofy comedian. Joe Isuzu/ David Leisure
