So, anyways, GHS used to make a .016" wound 'G' and all I can find now are .018's and its a little heavy...

Never use it wet. The heat comes right through.
That’s a nice potholder!
I use these for handling the hot BBQ stuff...hot coals, grates etc.
This pair has not been used for anything other than BBQ. I bought them this past September, I think. I’ll probably pick up a fresh set to have on hand soon. The fingertips are starting toget a little stiff, and burned out.
I do only use charcoal and wood to BBQ. Me, food, and compressed flammables...not a good history.

I did find 3 out of those four in stock too. I couldn't find the blue S from a reputable dealer (im leary/cautious) with some). I couldn't find any in stock within 100 miles to try out.
Ultimately I did get that sunburst S model. A guitar I'm very familiar with and love, from a fantastic dealer. So I'm in my glory.....at the moment nervous glory.

I’m a flat water swamp bass fisherman mostly....
Just outside my backyard...it’s fairly quiet...no motors...most people aren’t willing to drag a boat/canoe/kayak from the public parking area, to the water. So I get the place to myself, most of the time. I’ve only bumped in to three other people in kayaks or a boat(one of those little 8 foot plastic flat bottom jobs). All I ever see are kids shore fishing, people out walking/running/riding bikes...and the occasional equestrians. Oh, and skydivers.
