So Anyway...

Young girls, teenage girls, might be the worst type of human being.

In Korea, gangs if Ajummas are the scariest gangs in town (really!):

,but the teenage girl gangs might be even worse - just horrible creatures, imho.

(Very nice at uni age, through their 20s, 30s and 40s...)

I wouldn't want to be in your shoes, RVA.

Hey! I think my mother in law belongs to that gang!

So anyway,

I am a sick man. Candy apple red Alder Strat-type project to come. I think this one will be another H-S-H config.

Or maybe a P90-single-P90!!! Hmmm.

Mmm...Single P-90 might be something??? Hey, it's Strat type right easy to change it up...You sure you
don't want to make it heavy metalflake sparkle???

I wish there was a cure...I picked up two Strats and a Tele in a week and I have another Strat neck coming that
I'm putting on a Tele body for god only knows why??? I have that Sparkle Green thing going and I'm about to
rub down that CM Gibson with a scotch brite pad and apply a green wood dye I bought...

Oh man, thank you so much. I was feeling awfully guilty for my impulse buy. I got a nice deal on some Tom Anderson HC pups this morning. So many pups require guitars to put them in!!!

See...that's the problem right there! Oh, I have a set of pickups...guess I better buy a guitar...ha ha...:ROFLMAO:

Tom Anderson's are fantastic! I'd buy a guitar to build around those!

I have a brand new set of Seymour Duncan Joe Bonamassa Humbuckers just waiting for a shell to drop them in...

Sheesh, you don't know the 1/2 of it. I have 4 more sets of Tom Andersons, a set of Sanfords and 3 sets of PRS pups, a set of Bill Lawrence tele pups, gold Gibson '57 Classics, a set of Fralin pure PAFs and some odds and ends all waiting for a home!!! I could be in some trouble!!!

Holy ... that is a lot of pickups and no guitars for them to reside in...are you at least swapping them around to listen to them?

...you could just go on a husk buying spree!

No swapping, just husking! I think of my guitars as semi-blank canvases. Having an array of pickups and hardware (knobs, pots, pick guards, tuners, etc.) makes for an amazing pallet. Once I buy the husk, I start deciding what to put in it. It is incredibly enjoyable for me. The problem is, I have become like the painter who cannot sell his paintings for love of his work. You wind up with a warehouse full!

At least this last husk was cheap. B stock from Rondo - $ 93 shipped. I nabbed it moments after I got the email.

I don't see a DiMarzio Humbucker from Hell on that list.
They are really nice in the neck position.

I never hunted for them. I generally look for all manner of PRS and Tom Anderson pups, Gibson Burstbuckers and select Bare Knuckes. Still waiting to build you a Guitarenstein!!

So anyway, while I was away:
I was in sunny Florida for most of last week, 25th wedding anniversary.
We were in the Kissimmee, Orlando, and St. Augustine areas.
Had a very nice time, all went well.
One of the few times we have gone on a trip / vacation in all that time.

It did cross my mind I would have liked to meet up with a few of you down there, even for a moment for a hand shake and a nice to meet you.
Time would not allow.

First time I went without a guitar in my hands for several days in the almost 3 years I've been playing / learning. Did not like that at all.
Missed my dogs more than my children. They are young adults, the dogs are our "kids" now.

I see there was a major change here with the Shed and the Rules.
It is a shame to see the self policing of civility has failed.
I missed whatever straw broke the camel's back, and not sorry I did.

Question regarding promoting other sites - no mentioning other sites at all?
No links of interest on a topic at all?

There have been times I did a new gear post here, and linked to it on other sites, as well as made the original thread on another forum and posted a link here to it.
Saves the time to repeat the thread , upload pics etc.

Some have asked about tubes or tube amps, and I have posted links to other places with lots of good info.

Is this all now forbidden?

I am glad you had fun. I know that feeling of missing a guitar. It does get under your skin.

As for other forums, I think there is a difference between mentioning other sites and promoting them. Whenever I find something useful that I get from another forum, I am always sure to post a link and a mention to give the proper credit. We are not in competition with other forums.

In the end, we still depend on the thoughtful discretion of our members. However, when it comes to certain hot-button topics, it was simply best to avoid them entirely, especially since they had nothing to do with the pursuit of tone.

The harmonics on the Bill Lawrence (Bill and Becky) noise free singles are incredible. I have it in a few guitars and they always imprrsses me. I also have the microcoils, which have a lot of top end, and if that is your thing, they are really great. The Keystones for tele are also amazing

As an added bonus, they are inexpensive and still hand made by Becky, Bill's widow, and their daughter. Try a pair if you get a chance.

NOTE: Do not confuse these with Bill Lawrence USA, which is a seperate company that got the rights to the Bill Lawrence name from him after a legal battle. I have never tried those.
