It's a purposefully unflattering picture until I can take better ones for the NGD post.

What you looking at is block of flats collapsed due to some bozo wanting to do DIY without permeation. He was not authorised to do the task and he did it anyway. from what is known, he took out one of the supporting wall to make the '' extension'' in the cellar. Because of that 4 families have lost their lives in that rubble.

It makes my blood boil, this kind of idiots doing poop like this. Unfortunately this kind of things is very common in Georgia. Altering design and do as you please DIY poop ,in Georgia earthquakes are common and many lose their lives in this unapproved unsafe building modifications.

I feel really sad for the families.

So anyway.. was thinking today on the river. just how less stressed i am now all the music gear is gone. I play more more, make more music & all & all it was a total waste of time. I sound like me on drums, bass & guitar no matter what i plug into..which is all i really need anyways, cause recording & live, it really is the simpler the better & def more consistent which is the main thing. The real advancements are in the practice. All my sweetwater, reverb & FB & CL music bookmarks & accounts gone...

I've dumped about half of my big items like combo amps and about a quarter of my pedals so far just to get one guitar in return, but that was so worth it because it's one I could never part with now.

I've still got to swap original pickups back into several guitars before I part ways with them. I'm slowly but surely reclaiming my living space.
Pretty crazy how much space it can take up !I love the gear but it def encroached way into life.. soon as i was back in a live band again... immediately found out, i need clean, just breaking, crunch, controlled break & lead pop... soon as i got that, the consistency was there & used technique to alter things more so than gear.

ironically ..started on SG into Bug 22 el 84 & right back n Orange th30 & 15 el84 & 3 SG's & n bass Ibby & P into Ampeg..those are what i started on & it really was the foundatin the guitar & bass was built on...i know the gear & can precisely control it & never have to turn a knob once set for work..pure playing enjoyment without the mind thinking about useless adjustments..it just dont happen live..the bell rings..thats it, no dialing in time now

So anyway....

I've been learning Dutch for over a year now and just completed a 365 day streak of doing at least one lesson to keep the streak alive. I am not quite fluent yet at conversational speaking, but I can read and write it pretty well now and starting to be able to decipher new words based on the root. Dutch, like German and English, has a lot of compound words.

The trickiest part so far is word order because Dutch does subject, object, verb in most cases, but for compound sentences it can go subject, verb, object like English. Now speaking it properly will be the next real challenge.

I am also learning German and French. I actually took German for two years in highschool, but remembered very little until I started up with Duolingo.

I highly recommend this app. It makes it quite easy indeed. Learning is literally my favorite thing in the world, so I get hooked on stuff like this easily. They even have Hawaiian and Irish courses....Y'all should try it out.

Learn Georgian, so we can chit chat about tele radios lol

Isn't that why you learned English?
In all honesty, I learned English to understand Metallica lyrics that was priority everything else was the bonus.

So anyway.... I've been checking metal scene in Georgia.... There is so much unlistenable poop its unbelievable... Its all death, black, industrial, folk, symphonic, rap metal. I could not find any thrash band...
this is closest I found for thrashing.

So anyway, after one of those soul searching weeks(of fishing..lol) Had cancelled band practice previous week. Was just burnt out from having to re buy my house crap & going to record in studio again. We got together & i didn't realize we are booked every weekend from May till Sept next year cause of 2 friends that have tours on Saturdays.

We had a great time as bro's just being honest & really got solid by communicating. Going to scratch the studio & next CD, determined we dont need it really have 2 sets all ready. I agreed to buy us a 15 passenger van or Ford Expedition & trailer to make it simple. I feel free now, running 2 24/7 emergency biz is plenty in general in life but i learned to handle & enjoy it. seeing my buddies enthusiasm really touched me & we will do it up right next year & have a blast. Manhatten, camden, Philly, DC, baltimore are all scheduled in & some stuff in NJ & all the other dates are filled localy. Only have to hold 3 shows so that took a lot of pressure off. 2 SG's-Orange Th30 & greenbacks..away we go

so anyway...

I quit my new job.. lol

It was total BS, what made me quit was....Contract would be self employed ( I have no problem with that) but.... I would be treated as employed... They would tell me when to start, stop, and what to do and dont do... And money they were offering didnt reflect the work.

so I tolled them to do one... Search goes on...
