So Anyway...

So anyway, got to the cabin this morning and brought a couple of pedals to play with the baby Marshall. I didn't realize that the one power supply I have here is 18 volts. That does not get along with TC Electronic pedals at all! Luckily I had a couple of Panasonic DC supplies laying around from old cordless land lines. They work great! I can use the 18 volt supply with my Boss overdrive just fine. Whew, it's a 30 mile drive for 9 volt batteries.

60 mile round trip kind of sucks once you’re there.

Hopefully theres a Costco at the end of that drive... get a pack or two of the 9Vs!
 
So anyway, on to my next dilemma.

I'm about to start framing out this 16' x 7' garage entry. It's a 3 stall garage I am converting to a 1 stall and my north man cave. Being north, I have 2 x 6 exterior walls. In the pic you can see the edge of a front facing 2 x 4 trim board and that is a 1 x 8 trim board with the door sealing strip attached to it.

So, how do I support the bottom 2 x 6 with that easement angle on the concrete? I will be using ground contact pressure treated for it, but I don't want to just leave 3/4 of it just hanging out in space. I was thinking about using another ground contact board, or one of those composite plastic boards cut at a matching angle to the concrete to level it out? What's the correct way to go about this?

Never really came across this particular dilemma.
But I would form and add concrete for the 2x6 to bear on
 
So anyway, I just found out that my yearly potato trucking gig has fallen through. They put a new guy in charge of recruiting drivers this year and apparently he just brought a whole crew of people up from Mexico and they already have everyone they're gonna need.

Great.

Time to start getting a bit more creative I guess.

Also found out that our friends, the bass player and his brother have come down with the *coof* so they're quarantining, LRT's foot is still all busted up and he's got surgery coming up, so there will be no jamming happening for a while either.

As they say, when it rains...

That sucks! How are you going to cook your sammich?

I actually applied for a job running the canning machines at Castle Danger brewery in Two Harbors last night. I want to move up here permanently. Not sure if I will be able to get Boo or not. Probably won't get it anyway. Dog! My head hurts!
