So anyway, I spent $12 plus tax for a single 8ft 2x4 on Friday. 
What made matters worse was the lumber yard’s internet service was down and all they would take is cash ! Heck, I could only afford 10 2x4s with the cash I had. Had to go back today and get the rest of the stuff I was going to get then. That’s the most real cash I’ve spent in years.

So anyway, it seems wood is not the only shortage. My bandsaw, which I paid for on 4/7 with a backorder to 5/28, was pushed back again until August and possibly as late as October. Rikon said they were having major supply chain issues. As a result, I cancelled. My wife seemed pleased - something about keeping my fingers. Sometimes I think that woman lacks faith in me!

I'm restoring an entire house, and I'm at an area where there is water damage. I knew the bath on the other side of the wall had previous issues....I wasn't sure where I would find that damage in the surrounding area. Well, I found it!!

So anyway, I'm so very happy for my brother who is playing his usual Friday gig for the first time in over a year.
He went from 28 gigs a month to zero over night cause of the BS. Things are opening and he has 20 jobs on his calender. I'm so excited for him. He is a special person, and the best musician I know. Rock on bro !!(just a figure of speech, he plays jazz)
