In creating sample clips for threads, it became apparent how little hard, or even classic, rock I play lately. It is all blues and ballods for the most part. Acoustics have become interesting again.

Which leads me to my next point. Here is my incoming early birthday present. I have been looking for a unique Koa top, so when I found it, I didn't want it to slip away. It is a Taylor GS Mini

Thanks brother. I have wanted a Koa instrument for a long time. This was a great way to fill that spot for relatively little $$ given how much Koa guitars often sell for

Tried to trade my Taylor 12 string for one a year ago & a dealer wanted money to boot.
Wasn't gonna happen...

A perfect acoustic. Fully adjustable neck via truss rod & shims.
Short scale and small body for comfort, and that koa, that just seals the deal.
Electronics if the need arises.
Very nice.

I have been adjusting the saddles on my acoustic for very low action and then putting light (for acoustic) strings. This would probably not be to the liking a real acoustic guy, but perfect for the 15% of the time acoustic guy like me - and that # may go down in the winter!
