So Anyway...

Fail likely due to drywall mud doesn't adhere well to wood and wood absorbs moisture and gives off moisture at differing rates depending on seasons, HVAC, etc factors

Yes. And you can also plug it into an HDMI socket on a bigger monitor or through USB to a computer. But the built-in 5 inch screen is plenty big enough for soldering.

Note to self - time to tidy up...

What is max magnification?

I have read it is not good to use side pressure tools in a drill press.
Can wear parts and increase quill runout.

I dont know how true this is; I would imagine very light duty is ok.

I can see the logic in this, JT. I imagine as you say light duty sanding such as Ray is doing won't excessively wear on things. I am sure he isn't pressing the heck out of the sanding drum on that press, otherwise he'd take off too much wood or put burn marks in it.

All the Andonstar scopes are really solid. Bear in mind that if you want to use USB for image capture etc., the 200 series doesn't have a windows 10 driver - Win 7 is as far as they go.
