So Anyway...

So anyway, I did a catch - vet - release on this neighborhood cat today. We think he may be the son of my cat that just died. I named him "Sonny", but my wife changed it to "Sunny". She is messing with my creative flare!

I mentioned it a couple days ago that Kathy and I wound up with a "colony" of kitties at our house. First we saw 2 who hung around our shed and lawn tractors, but when winter set in, they moved around the sunny side of the house by a corner of our stone foundation wall that is missing some stones ( they sneak thru this hole and into the dirt dugout basement to stay warm where the furnace is.

They are likely approaching 7-8 months old now, and as we began feeding them about a month ago, a 3rd one appeared, and this one is most skiddish.
A few weeks later a 4th one showed up to eat. Needless to say, I have my work cut out for me to capture 4+ cats to take in for Trap n Release ( alteration surgeries and shots etc)

Brought home 3 traps from the Humane Society today to hopefully capture at least 3 of the 4 to take to them on Friday

Somewhat of an update. I did a trial run when I got home and saw the most skiddish long haired Brown Gray Tabby hanging out as if he might want to eat.
SO I got a trap ready and a can of food to put inside and propped the door open but not closable because we can't capture the kitties too soon before being able to take them to the Humane Society on Friday. Well, by the time I got all 3 traps out and loaded with food, all 4 of our regular cats were still there 1 hr later and food had been consumed.

Now to figure out how to catch 4 cats in 3 traps and have no issues. HAHA as I was bringing the traps inside, the 2 bravest lil cats almost came into the house following me and the traps.

So anyway, we finished hanging the 6 panel mural in the cellar room. Only a few shelves to build and a sink to install and this room is complete !

Here’s what I started with in 2020.

Looks great Don!

Mark, maybe you can read up on some Calvin and Hobbes to get some tricks on catching the kitties.

Actually, my wife has always had success in trapping feral cats by placing canned food in a "Have a Heart" trap, and then draping a towel over the trap, so it looks like a dark place for them to hide.
