Skydiving at age 38: sounds fun or the stupidest idea yet?

My wife and I got an offer to go skydiving on July 17 with my brother and his wife , a couple hours north of here. We had always wanted to do this and actually, talked about it for our 10 year anniversary ( which is this year coincidentally). We have 3 certified jumps from 2 years ago but it was indoor skydiving ( which is recognized but nowhere near the same as the real thing obviously).

The dilemma I got came from my mom and sister, who are both admittedly scared of anything like this. They began berating me as being stupid and reckless to my 2 kids with lines like " you're gonna orphan them for what?!?! A thrill?!?". So yeah that's great, now im doubting myself over them ( my brother has 3 kids of his own and is in the same spot).

Anyways, with this lil info, ill put it to a poll.

I say FVCK yeah --- lifes a 1 way ticket bubba....... but wtf do I know I ride motorcycles regularly drink like sailor have not driven the actual speed limit in decades (min 10-20 mph OVEr) -- scuba dive-- and play with guns -- also I am a perfect example of how NOT to live to be 52........ so --

Part of my issue is I never expected to MAKE IT THIS FAR! ---despite numerous stupid moves......Im still here! -- Either my guardian angel is REALLY GOOD .......or a sadistic little poop ....................................hhhmmmmm

had I known Id live this long I might have made some better decisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh well..... gonna go stand on a rickety chair and cut some tree limbs with a chainsaw again ....... ya'll have fun
