SIZE MATTERs

Morning Gents!

The WGS 55Hz speaker really is amazing. No matter how hard you drive it, no matter how much resonance you roll up, the speaked handles it with clarity.

When I auditioned for Soloman Grundy back in June, I remember having to roll off bass and resonance to get clarity at high volumes - not anymore!

It's kind of strange in a way. When I first installed the 55Hz, i totally changed all my amp settings, which I expected, but what I did not expect was how this speaker could handle the low frequencies and still cut through with so much rich articulation.

Its really one of the easiest and best modifications I have ever performed.

:)

Glad to hear that the speaker work out so well for you. Bravo!

Different strokes for different applications I guess. I prefer a 10" for totally clean amps (though none of my current amps have one unfortunately) and a 12" for anything with drive/gain, which admittedly is how I am using my amps 90% of the time. I tried a 15" for a while and while they have a lot of room presence they can get boomy fast and they are not very tight in the low end. Anything smaller than a 10" is for a practice amp IMO.
