These look pretty cool:

However they're not available anywhere. I asked Andertons who have them up for pre-order and they said they're expecting to get them in December :(

Interesting price point... looking at lefty prices, it should be priced similarly to the V5 which would make it around ~500€ give or take. The Squier CV is ~380€ and a Fender Player is almost 800€.

Think I'll have to put my P-Bass GAS on hold until these are available, to see what they're about...

Sire themselves told me the P5 will be released in August... Let's see what Thomann has to say, being the largest retailer in Europe...

Looks like Sire is the same company as Dame in Korea (nice play on words):

They claim to have their own factories in Indonesia / China and not use an OEM. Maybe...

this guy was impressed with them a few years back anyway (skip to about 4 min in to expedite things)

All the youtube reviews are pretty much the same anyway, be it a sub-$100 Donner or an American Ultra Fender.

But I get the impression that the QC is pretty consistent on these, which is a good thing since nobody has lefties up for try anywhere... Not a decent selection anyway.

Thomann answered: they estimate they're getting green lefty models in mid-March 2022 :rolf:. Some Southern European (Italian/Spanish) shops are claiming September 2021.

I'm quite surprised at how much these companies are willing to entertain my pointless inquiries.

So after putting some amount of thought into it I decided to not get a P but went for a V7 (active jazz bass) instead. Should have it next week or so...
