I was just checking out some of the clips of the CC pup. I'm assuming its the 'CC for Tele' pup that I see in the Strat you posted. A very different sound that I wouldn't expect from a Tele. Very 'smoky'! Ain't No Twang in That Thang! Sounds more humbuckerish than single coilish.

I still don't know how the CC pup is adjusted. I don't see any adjustment doodads...

Probably screwed right into the body Greg like early Tele front pups where. Chunk of surgical tubing for spring effect.

I have a few Gibson pickups...not sure what they are...humbuckers of course, but might have one that will be less harsh than the GFS Double Slug...
