Ok, I figured out how to resize them. Here are some random pics from one of my day trips on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is why I live where I live.

We were near Pigeon Forge this time last year. Winter had been so mild trees and flowers were getting buds on them.

I avoid the touristy areas like the plague. Right down the road from Pigeon Forge is Townsend TN, one of the best kept secrets, it's not well known and just a small town close to the entrance to the Smokeys and Cades Cove. I love to stay there. They have one of the best steak houses you'll ever find.

We spent part of a day in Townsend. And We did not stay in pigeon Forge. Stayed in a cottage. At night we could look down the hill and see the lights though. We didn’t even go there other than drive thru it. It was also not tourist season so not a lot of people anywhere.

We did go to Gatlinburg to check out Ole Smokey Moonshine. Our pooch was traveling with us and Ole Smokey is a pet friendly business. Workers made a big fuss over her. She however wasn’t impressed. Kept hiding behind us. :D

And we did the 11 mile one way of Cades Cove.

Eagles are so cool. We’ve been seeing a few in the winter near the open water on the Fox River. (NE Illinois near the WI border) Nothing like what we used to be able to see along the Mississippi near Rock Island Il and Davenport IA. Multiple dozens making nests there and feeding on the open water below the locks and dams.

In fact @DirtySteve while we were walking around Townsend last February, there was an eagle perched in a tree above that little creek that flows thru town.

What we do have in abundance for birds of prey are owls and red tailed hawks. We have a mom and dad hawk making one of our timber trees home. Many years. Many offspring. I can sit here by my bedroom window and watch them “trolling” high above the wet land we’re next to.

In the past I had a eagle go to my house every day and I would feed her the people next door didn't like it
turned me in to fish and game for feeding the wildlife nice $375.00 fine no judge no jury just a ticket on my door
I quit feeding the eagle she would jump up and down on my metal roof whatever room I was in that went on for a month
how that eagle would know what room I was in they must be able to hear me breath my guess.

Yea, they are enormously protected. I don't think you can even help one in need. You can only stay back.
