That's what it looked like for a while. Not a big pedal user overall. The TS clone departed in favor of an LS-2 with a Metal Zone in loop A, loop B being just the dry signal. Gave the Metal Core to my drummer to play around with.

This is closer to what it is now:

The weird DIY pedal is a pseudo-EP3 preamp with a JFET with a logo which... well, it's a negative feedback loop with the golden ratio thingy. I don't believe in all the mumbo jumbo that those nutters harp on about, same as the rest of pseudo science, but it proves to be somewhat of a constant in art so it has some truth to it.
The Rat, EQ and Big Muff are awesome by themselves. The only thing I would add is a delay and reverb pedal. Sweet!

You may recall, a while back on the MF I was thinking about a reverb+delay pedal for whenever I didn't feel like draggin the whole flightcase along. I looked at some cheapies, some kits, the Boss RE-2 (still have a soft spot for that one). Ultimately, I opted for another smaller flightcase (more like a 2U briefcase, really) and another GX-700 for my reverb/delay needs. More configurable, patches, re-ordering of effects, easy transfer from the other unit, etc.

I sure wish I had seen one back in the day, I never knew they existed. What do they sound like? Are they a good dirt pedal, you seem to have kept that one a long time.
They are still out there used. It has a wide range of selectable tones and tweaks. Pretty versatile for 4 dirt presets in a smallish box. I haven’t used it in years. I went almost all Boss for a while and have now switched to the Fender Tone Master Pro modeler. It does everything I want in a compact, easy to use, design.

I slapped together a small board to go in the back of a combo. I grabbed a tuner and 5 plug wire, now everything is powered and I have an extra plug so I can add a pedal if needed. (When not in use, I stick it in a hole I drilled to keep it clean.) One shot in the front end, just for fun and playing around. She works pretty good and is all I need 99% of the time.

Is that 3D printed or did you cut up a cutting board? Looks pretty solid.
No, it's HDPE & UHMW I had laying around the shop. It is very rugged, you could never hurt it in normal use. The board would be semi flexible if not for the bar I screwed on. I just drill tight holes and tap in some ny-lock nut's, so they can't spin, and use SS screws. I use a piece of wire cover just to keep the wires tidy. Sometimes I use a boat cleat for wires when not in use.

Wow, I bet that polycarbonate is almost indestructible.
Yeah, it's tough stuff. I still have a half a dozen 2'x2' sheets and I would give you one if needed, but the shipping would be more than the plastic. I had some clear stuff that was bullet proof, although it didn't like the 454 Casull to much. That was 1.25" bank teller window material. Then I had some laminated stuff that was only .75" but would stop a 5.56 even right on the edge. That stuff was over $2,000 a sheet and it was a long time ago.
