I'm not a Strat guy. They don't work for my main band. But everyone, even me, should have a Strat. I've had a bunch of cheapies, 3 Squiers, a Peavey Predator, and a MIM Fender Standard Stratocaster. I finally settled on my Forever Strat, this 2003 MIM Fender Classic Series 50's Stratocaster.

Hate to nitpick, but "favorite" strongly implies that you have to pick one.Just like cats, you always need more than one.

If I am going to choose by how it plays, then I love the '50s V shaped neck and 12" fingerboard radius on my '22 Eric Johnson "Virginia" Strat.
But, if I were to choose for sound... this mongrel early sixties Strat sounds so incredibly lush. I love the sound of this guitar regardless of how bad my hands hurt after a half hour because the neck is so thin.

I, too, own one Strat. I’ve lusted after others, but they were never as good as this one. I can’t buy a guitar I’m not likely to play.
