Show us your current "MAIN" -Amp & Guitar

I believe I’ve posted this before almost a year ago, but it still applies. I love my 7, string it is a phenomenal guitar over all and a lot of fun. I really like my Jackson with the emg 81-85 pickups and even plan on using it on my next song, however this is the axe I continue to grab that I’ve done the vast majority of my recording on. Epiphone Richie Faulkner signature. 1000 series Floyd rose and emg 57-66 active pickups. Guitar is tuned to drop D and has been ever since I’ve gotten it. Satin neck as well. The amp head is a Marshall mg100 hdfx. A diamond in the rough. Manage to nab it used with amp pedal for 100$. Not seen but usually have it plugged in is my crybaby from hell wah pedal. 7E6CA96F-0600-4F7A-A19E-9EB91CDF51B5.jpeg

A amp I'm finishing off Dumble ODS meets Marshall 1966 JTM 45/100 a clone of a Drake 1202-84 output transformer
my friend Robert engineered for Greg Germino used on his Monterey 100 amp think Clapton Cream early Hendrix and early AC/DC.
I used a Carvin X100B power transformer it was free. Went 110uf on B+1 filter then 16.5uf on B+2 through B+5.
I had to mount the OPT on it's side massive 2.25" thick.

Nice choice of OT. These are from the era when Marshall were using their best OT's. Does it have the 8, 16 ohm & 100V secondaries like the originals, or is it a 4, 8 & 16 ohm adaptation? I also like the choice of low filtering from the screens forward. Look forward to seeing pics etc of the completed build.
I recently built a Super100 JH clone (center) that sounds truly marvelous with my favorite Strat.

I'd like to see more of this amp. KT66 or EL34 variant? Love the logos too.
The bottom is a JTM50 I built last year and (shamefully) have yet to really try it out. I've been on an amp building binge with the generous help of my Amp Godz (CoyotesGator and T-Rex).
Id like to see more of this amp too. You really should be putting it through its paces on a regular basis, they are great sounding amps (great touch sensitivity too). Here's my "Black flag" JTM50 build, the last build I did (sorry for the low quality pics),IMG_20200918_103836.jpg
all outfitted with NOS Blackburn Mullard valves (EL34's are matching date code Philips Miniwatt branded single halo getter xf2's, 12AX7'a are 163 series & GZ34 is a 7 notch plates f32).WP_20190319_16_08_59_Smart.jpg
PT is Marstran/Heyboer 1202-118 (which I want to swap out for a 1202-133), OT is Merren Audio 784-139 & choke is a Classictone 352-114.WP_20190319_18_34_47_Smart.jpg
I really need to come up with a logo design for my builds.
Speaking of JTM50 look what I have for my next project.
784-139 NOS OPT and a 1968 1202-118 PT.

Damn, Mr Plexi67, where do you find these gems? I'm rarely that lucky, though I was lucky enough to score a duet of NOS (Valvo branded) matching date code (3rd week October 1962) Blackburn Mullard dual getters xf2 EL34's for my upcoming JMP50 build.
Cheers

I hope I'm responding to the proper question. I have Mullard KT66's in all my builds, with the exception of my 2204 which are Mullard EL34's. Beautiful wiring on the builds above. My gut shots aren't so pretty, but they all work, are quiet, and sound great. I'm still adjusting to retirement and need to plan out my days for more practice and give these amps the attention they deserve.[/QUOTE]

Awww, what the heck. Four and a half years, let's dig this one up.

Lately on jam nights my rig has been my ES-335 and '63 Fender Bandmaster. This combination is really, really awesome! Next time we get together, I need to bring a different amp over. This one needs some TLC. Haven't done anything other than play it for over ten years. At home, I'm like a kid in a candy store, and play what I feel like at the time.

Our lead singer had a life threatening medical event last year but is now fully recovered. Yesterday we had our first band practice in over 8 months here at my place. Life is good !

Rig - 77 LP deluxe with full size HBs into the Fender Tone Master Pro on the stand then into the Fender FR-10 behind the guitar.

Since I got it about 6 weeks ago, this has been number 1 (but we all know how fast that ranking can change):

And some won't believe it, but my main amp for the past 6 months or so has been one of these (not my photo):

Yup, a Marshall Code 50. I have been loving the fact that it is so simple to use, is so versatile, I don't need a pedalboard, and it sounds exactly like a "real" Marshall.
I haven't fired up one of my tube amps since maybe around the holidays

Good golly Miss Molly! If I posted in this thread it's changed now, I don't even have the same gear I had in 2020 anymore. My current is my Ceriatone King Kong paired with my 2021 Satin Honeyburst Tribute (on the left) with the maple neck and the Wolfetone Fenris in the bridge.

Things haven’t changed much for me. Either this…81 The SG Deluxe, and the Phaez Duophonic (and whatever cab’s)…

…or the SG Special 60s Tribute, and the homebrew Superlite-ish 18watt Valve Jr conversion (into whatever cab’s)…

Tough call…dig the wiggle stick, but love the early 80s neck…the 18watt is fantastic…so is the Phaez(warm, full, and pedal friendly…on the clean/Corona channel)…I use both amps, in a stereo rig, currently. I am happy here.

I had a Code 50. Sounded OK but I HATED that everything was a preset. You couldn't just set it like an amp without saving it as a preset, if you ever switch it away.
Couldn't bond even with a speaker change.
I can work with presets as long as I have a Panel setting to use such as the Katana and the JMD
