Funny, on FB some clowns were talking crap about Schenker sounding better on Gibson “V ‘s “ Sighting how ugly the headstock is.
Truth is , Schenker could play a hellow kitty guitar and make it sound good.
He doesn’t care for Gibsons, at least what I heard years ago before internet. The neck/headstock is weak. He bends the neck to drop pitch a lot. Dean has never failed that I know of. He of course plays USA Deans.
I like the Deans obviously and I always have.
My frets are showing a substantial wear on my personal import.

If all Dean's came with that headstock I might have been more interested, but I don't like the V headstock at all and have ignored Dean guitars because of it. Unfortunately, I've never even played one.My only Dean for now. I used to have a Dean mini-Z back in the day but it was kind of junk so it went down the road.

I was looking around on the Dean website and they have several series that have that headstock. I had no idea it wasn't just the Mustaine model. I've never seen one out in the wild.

My Grandma's maiden name was Dean.. I used to think I heard she was of Irish descent. I got on a genealogy site and found out she was of English heritage not Irish.. Also on one of her branches we descend from John Alden back in the Colonial days.
