what a disgrace they lose the game like that, but im a giants fan and eli still beat brady twice

Coworker asked me Friday who I was rooting for. With no hesitation, I said Cubs. Haven't watched any football since Northwestern won their Bowl game.

I was rooting for the Falcons. But I was not surprised that a team like the Patriots were able do what they did. It also cements, whether you like Tom Brady or not, that he's going to be known as the greatest NFL quarterback of all time.

I remember when Irsay moved them from Baltimore in the middle of the night. Now I ALWAYS root for whoever plays against them. As long as the Irsay family owns them I will never pull for them again.

Ok, I took another look at it after I found a high def replay of this same shot. That second circle is not the ball. It is the running back, James White, right bicep.

I spotted that as it went down.
Didn't really matter where the knee, ball and line were.
There was more money to be had all around if N.E. won.
Big money bets placed during halftime etc.etc.

I'm from Philly, I try not to talk about football too much, it makes me cry. That was one of the best games I have ever seen. I was hoping Atlanta would win. New England has already had its share of success.

Yep I remember they had one season when
they ended up with 18 wins and only 1 loss.
(Too bad that loss was the super bowl.)

There was a game?

......

Oh, yeah...the Superbowl thing.....

I went to bed around the time it started. I get up at 4:00 AM and I'd been fighting off a nasty head cold.

Anyway....

When they start adding ice and pucks to football, maybe I'll get interested.

I did not watch the game, but I did see that last TD and it looked to me like after he went down, he made a movement to get the ball over the line. Just sayin'.

Here's a touchdown for you. Not US football, but Rugby - Britain vs New Zealand. The only rule you need to know here is that to move the ball forwards you can either kick it or carry it. If you pass it to another player it can't go forwards.

That and touchdown means what it says. You have to place the ball on the ground beyond the goal line.

Anyway, it shows some amazing running by a little guy called Gareth Edwards
