SG tailpiece height?

Oh!!!

One more thing....I found a bunch of Les Paul Studios that varied in weight from 7 pounds 10 ounces all the way up to a whopping 9 pounds in the same exact model!!!!

If you had looked at the next GC you'd have found some heavier and some lighter. That is typical. The two pieces of mahogany of identical dimensions cut from the same board will have different weights, the piece cut from nearest the base will be a bit lighter, a piece nearer the top, a bit heavier. If you look at the listed weights on Sweetwater, it is not unusual to see nearly three pounds variation among the same model of guitar. Wood is funny that way.

True, I just never paid attention to this before. You are correct that they list the weights on Zzounds, Sweetwater and AMS. Also, if you look at the individual guitars on those websites, you will see the saddles on many of them jhammed all the way to the rear on more than one string....
