Scares the poop outta the grandkids..................LORD can you IMAGINE!? ---ME a Grandfather--- poor little buggers got no prayer in life.......twisted and demented they shall be.......
My black 3 knob, no guard SG Special was my main gigging guitar throughout the 90's. With an early 57 Classic + in the bridge, nothing could touch the tone on this guitar, whether through my 1976 JMP 2204 or through my 1978 Champ. This guitar has a mahogany body, a maple neck, and an ebony fret board among its other oddities. I am proud that it is road worn by me, exclusively. :dood:
Hey...I was going to start a thread like this but eSGEe wee wee beat mee too it! Here's my Gibson SG Special w/ ebony fretboard. It has the 490R and 490T pickup combo. My favourite guitar by far.
Here's a picture of my beloved and belated wife strumming out a tune on ol' Blackie.
Here's my SG again, but modded with genuine Classic Humbucker Epiphone pickups. I did a pickup swap between my SG and 2006 Epiphone LP Standard. The 490's pups suit the LP very well and the Epi pups sparkle through my SG. In the middle position on the 3-way selector switch is wired permanently out-of-phase between both pickups. It has a cool nasly wah sound to it. I also have the neck pickup in backwards. I've also enlisted my black SG into the army to fight against badly manufactured music coming out of the radio these days. It's already on it's first mission.
